MRR1 Wireless Remote Control - It Floats!
MRR1 Wireless Remote Control - It Floats! An unwritten law in boating says that valuable onboard items which are accidentally dropped will automatically end up in the water. A wireless stereo remote is no exception to this rule. As an accessory for its newly-announced marine stereo, Poly-Planar offers a wireless remote that not only is waterproof but also floats. By pointing the credit card-sized, MRR-1 Wireless Remote at the stereo or a nearby speaker, full control of Poly-Planar's stereo system is possible. The remote transmits a beam of invisible light containing the necessary commands to control power off/on, volume, channel selection, muting, source, band and other necessary functions. The unit will also control the MCD-30 CD changer and is compatible with future Poly-Planar stereo enhancements such as a VHF override and an automatic ambient noise-sensing volume control. The unit comes equipped with a contrasting-colored remote flotation device and an attached lanyard that allows the device to be retrieved in the event of a dunking. The end of the lanyard features a snap hook for convenient storage. The unit will also operate simultaneously with the hard-wired MRR-7 Wired Remote Keypad.
